The Final Update (?)

Almost one year ago I came back to deviantART to reflect on the last five years I've been a member of this site. Three years ago I posted my one and only deviation, lamenting the lack of filmmaker support on deviantART.

Well, times have changed. Not better, not worse, just different. And now for the blatant whoring part.

My website is where I log and document all of my work. My intention is to keep people updated on one man's struggle to become a full-fledged filmmaker from Canadian obscurity. An attempt at self-expression, or an exercise in narcissistic indulgence? You decide.

I'll probably always use deviantART as a resource, whether to spruce up my PC or to put out random commission jobs. This is, after all, the only community of developing artists I know of.

I make this final journal post for anyone whom I may have affected in the past - hopefully positively - who is interested in keeping up with my work, my life, etc.

You know, it's really funny, I was going through my notes the other day and I saw some that you had sent me and re-read them. I really appreciated your comments now, and I appreciate them still. I came over to your page, but it had appeared as though you were quite inactive, which was very dissapointing, because you seem to be one of those rare individuals that can truly appreciate things for what they are, nothing more, nothing less. And you put alot of thought into communicating that as well, which is what alot of artists who are learning (which they all are, really) really need to hear.

Thanks alot.

I'm insanely curious to hear what you think about the way I've changed, aesthetically, btw.

Wow, that's some sort of memory. Yeah, that was me...no, this wasn't on a whim, though I guess all of the spam chain-comments really prompted me to post it. Was inspired by some lunch conversation with ~myrth, whenever we'd chat about DA. It was originally going to be titled, "The Things That Really Annoy me about DA", but the title was too long. :lol: Thanks for the fav, and a great comment to read.

I've only just read parts of your journal, but i wanted you to know that ironically enough, your words drive me to speechlessness. You are SUCH a talented writer! you express yourself wonderfully.
